Three-Dimensional Reconstruction of Coronal Features: A Python Tool for Geometric Triangulation

چکیده
Abstract The determination of the three-dimensional (3D) geometry coronal features is important for understanding magnetic structuring solar atmosphere. In this context, length a loop, which subject to standing transverse oscillations, crucial parameter in seismology correct estimation phase speed wave and, consequently, Alfvén and magnetic-field strength. Simultaneous space-based observations corona from different vantage points, e.g. one Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) second TErrestrial RElations (STEREO), have permitted reconstruction loops. Nisticò, Verwichte, Nakariakov ( Entropy 15 , 4520, 2013) proposed method based on principal component analysis fitting an ensemble 3D points that sample loop. This was shown retrieve easily main geometric parameters define such as loop axes plane. article, extension work presented includes Python tool performing triangulation seen by two observers.

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
SpineLab: tool for three-dimensional reconstruction of neuronal cell morphology.
SpineLab is a software tool developed for reconstructing neuronal feature skeletons from three-dimensional single- or multi-photon image stacks. These images often suffer from limited resolution and a low signal-to-noise ratio, making the extraction of morphometric information difficult. To overcome this limitation, we have developed a software tool that offers the possibility to create feature...
متن کاملThree-dimensional coronal density structure: 1. Model
[1] The three-dimensional (3-D) density structure of the solar corona is a fundamental boundary condition on the solar wind. Most easily applied models of the global coronal density have been restricted to date to axisymmetric 2-D cases. We present here a 3-D model made up of a superposition of multiple streamers, having distinct gaussian widths in longitude and latitude and both longitudinal a...
متن کاملThree-Dimensional Reconstruction of Two Solar Coronal Mass Ejections Using the STEREO Spacecraft
Previous attempts to produce three-dimensional (3-D) reconstructions of coronal mass ejections (CMEs) have required either modeling efforts or comparisons with secondary associated eruptions near the solar surface. This is because coronagraphs are only able to produce sky-plane-projected images of CMEs and it has hence been impossible to overcome projection effects by using coronagraphs alone. ...
متن کاملThree-dimensional reconstruction of coronal mass ejections using heliospheric imager data
Innovative techniques have been developed to extract three-dimensional (3-D) information on coronal mass ejections. Some techniques have only been available since the launch of the STEREO spacecraft, where geometry can be applied to white light observations from three different viewpoints. Another technique not necessarily requiring the multiple-viewpoint capabilities of STEREO involves heliosp...
